GarageX Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information GarageX ("we," "us") collects when you use the GarageX vehicle maintenance tracking app (the "Service"), and how it's used, stored, and shared.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account and use GarageX, we collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text).
• Vehicle and maintenance data: vehicle details (year, make, model, VIN, mileage), service history, fuel logs, reminders, and any photos or documents you upload (e.g. receipts, registration, insurance cards).
• Subscription status: whether you're on the Free or Pro plan, managed through our payment processor, RevenueCat, and the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe depending on how you subscribed. We don't receive or store your full payment card details — those are handled directly by the platform you paid through.
• Usage and device information: basic technical data (IP address, browser/device type) collected automatically for security and to keep the Service running.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the Service: to authenticate you, store and display your vehicle records, calculate maintenance reminders and fuel efficiency, process subscription payments, and send you service-related emails (like password resets or due-maintenance reminders).

3. Advertising

GarageX shows ads to Free-tier users through Google AdSense. Google AdSense may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your activity across sites, subject to your ad settings with Google. Pro subscribers do not see ads. You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

4. Third-Party Services

We share limited data with the following services solely to operate GarageX:

• RevenueCat — subscription and billing management.
• Google AdSense — advertising on the free tier.
• Push notification and email providers — used to deliver maintenance reminders you've configured.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual vehicles, records, or documents at any time within the app. To delete your entire account and associated data, contact us at the email below.

6. Security

Passwords are stored using one-way hashing, and account access requires a session token. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

7. Children's Privacy

GarageX is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Your Choices

You can update or delete your vehicle data at any time in the app. You may request a copy or deletion of your account data by contacting us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
